The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) has inaugurated the managing director/ chief executive officer of NOVA Merchant Bank Ltd., Nath Ude, as an elected fellow of the institute at the 2021 CIBN Fellowship Investiture.
The ceremony was held on October 30 at the Balmoral Convention Center, Federal Palace Hotel and Casino, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The honour given Ude followed his commitment to professional responsibilities and invaluable contributions to the banking sector as well as the Nigerian economy.
Chief host and president/chairman of CIBN council Bayo Olugbemi congratulated the deserving awardees, saying that “through dint of hard work and God’s blessings the awardees were being elevated to the pinnacle of their respective careers.”
Among the invitees at the ceremony were bank CEOs and dignitaries including former minister of national planning Shamsudeen Usman who was the special guest of honour; and the chief executive of CIBN, Seye Awojobi.
Director-general, World Trade Organisation (WTO) Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was conferred the award of honorary fellow at the event.
