Oba Akinruntan Marks 9th Coronation Anniversary in Grand Style

Yesterday, Saturday November 10, 2018, all roads led to the Royal Palace of the kingdom of Ùgbò, in Ilaje Local Government of Ondo State, residence of His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr.) Frederick Enitiolorunda Obateru Akinruntan C.O.N, the Olugbo of Ugboland, as he marks the ninth anniversary of his elevation to paramount ruler.

The sleepy town of Ilaje in riverine Ondo welcome the throng of politicians, captains of Industries, royal fathers and supercelebrities, who stormed the venue to rejoice with the flamboyant monarch who doubles as the head honcho of the popular Obat Petroleum.

Amidst the fanfare and guaranteed Naira rain on the day, Oba Akinruntan also used the occasion to dazzle the guests with his giant strides since ascending the throne of his forefathers. Indeed since his coronation amidst some struggles, he has gradually transformed Ugboland from a crisis-infested kingdom to an idyll.

He started a foundation that caters for indigent Ilaje citizens at the primary, secondary, tertiary academic levels, to include the very brilliant ones at postgraduate level. There is also routine medical checks and a whole host of other community oriented initiatives that have collectively left his people dancing to the merry tunes of progress.

The man acclaimed by Forbes as the richest monarch in West Africa some time ago on account of his huge investments in oil and gas, commodities, banking and other areas is pulling out all the stops to make the momentous event a memorable one. Being someone that does things in no half measures, he is determined to make the occasion linger in the minds of his guests who are already accustomed to high class events.

Going by the previous antecedents of the man who is renowned for his philanthropic activities at the grassroots level, imported wines and assorted delicacies, not to mention high class musical performances, will be the order of the day.
