Ahead of the governorship primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ondo State, a former member of the state House of Assembly, Prince Ademola Adegoroye, has officially picked nomination and expression of interest, asking the party for a level playing ground during the exercise.
Prince Adegoroye yesterday joined other 20 aspirants who have earlier showed interest in APC ticket to contest the next governorship election in Ondo state
Speaking at the APC national secretariat while receiving the forms, Adegoroye, told the party officials that it is high time Ondo state is brought to the league of progressive states by allowing the emergence of a right candidate at the primary through a fair and level playing ground to all the aspirants.
On his plans for the state if given opportunity, the governorship aspirant said: “My mission in this race is to ensure that the interest of the people of Ondo state are adequately catered for. For a long time government has come and gone and up till today we realised that there continues to be a major disconnect between the government and the people of my state, our people are still not satisfied, our people still want more and indeed, I think they deserve much more.
“What Ondo State need is somebody who is truthful, honest and totally committed to their welfare and who will put their interest at heart, that is what they want, they are not asking for too much. And so, that is my mission.
