Professor Yemi Osinbajo, vice president of Nigeria, Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele; Senate President, Bukola Saraki among others are set to brainstorm at the business summit of the 2016 edition of the Made-in-Nigeria Festival from September 26- October 1 in Lagos.
The seven-day festival will feature other eminent speakers including Chairman, First Bank Nigeria Plc, Ibukun Awosika, and Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, amongst others. Other activities include exhibitions featuring made in Nigeria products and services, as well as other products and services that could be developed in the country.
There will also be a Tech Exposition and Hackfest, a special technology symposium and ‘hackaton’ featuring about 150 young Nigerian inventors. Eko Atlantic City, the emerging new smart city being built from reclaimed land adjacent to Victoria Island, Lagos by leading real estate investment firm, South Energyx Nigeria Limited (SENL), said it is ready to host the festival.
Mr. Ronald Chagoury Jr., vice chairman of South Energyx Nigeria Limited, a subsidiary of the Chagoury Group, said the company was proud to be associated with the initiative that seeks to create a platform for the maximum expression of the true Nigerian spirit, the spirit of enterprise, industry, tenacity, resilience and creative ingenuity, factors that are needed for the development of the country.
“At SENL, we strive to source local materials wherever possible. This commitment to promoting the local content can be seen in the construction methods applied, as well as the use of locally sourced materials where available and appropriate, which I believe is in line with the vision of the Made in Nigeria Festival,” he said.
