BARELY 24 hours after the suspension of Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF), David Babachir Lawal and the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ayo Oke, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Thursday met with some heads of security agencies.
Those who were at the Presidential Villa, Abuja for the meeting at the Vice President’s office were the National Security Adviser (NSA), Babagana Monguno, Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Daura and the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu.
The Vice President also met with the Inspector-General of Police, Idris Abubakar, the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, the acting SGF, Dr. Habibat Lawan and the acting DG, NIA, Ambassador Arab Yadam amongst others.
It was not known whether the meetings had any bearing on the suspension of the two senior government officials.
Adamawa state governor, Jibrilla Bindow was also said to have visited the Chief of Staff to the the president, Abba Kyari for unknown reasons even though it is being linked to the suspension of the SGF who is an Adamawa state indigene.
