The South West Zone of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said yesterday it would hold a “mother of all rallies” in Oshogbo, the Osun state capital next weekend.

The rally, it said, was designed to show its strength in the region and mobilize members ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in the state and the general election.

Chairman, Publicity Committee of the event and Lagos State chairman of the party, Hon. Moshood Salvador disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in Lagos.

According to him, “Apart from testing and showing our strength as a popular party in the zone, we will use the rally to strategise ahead of the general elections”.

Similarly, the rally would be used to educate and enlighten the electorate who have not picked up their permanent voter’s card (PVC) to do so and guard their votes during the elections.
