The Ibadan social establishment literally stood still on Saturday, July 1, when the families of Obafemi and Balogun played host to a galaxy of personalities who gathered to witness the traditional wedding ceremony of their children.
The ceremony involved Otunba Olugbenga Peter Obafemi, a prominent businessman, politician, and society big wig; and Wuraola Chidiebere Balogun. The event, which was held at the Felicia Hall of Jogor Event Center, New GRA Ibadan, was a gathering of the affluent and aristocrats from across the country.
An accomplished business mogul, aviation enthusiast and philanthropist, Obafemi is the founder of Ritetime World Airways. He has successfully proved to the whole world that his dominance in the business world was not a fluke, given the array of guests who graced the colourful event inside the upscale event centre.
Obafemi, who has been previously married, decided to take his relationship with Wuraola to the next level with the traditional marriage.
Prior to the elaborate ceremony in Ibadan, the couple had had their registry wedding at Ikoyi, Lagos.
At the traditional wedding event, many society and political big wigs were present to share the joyous occasion with the couple.
The colour code for the day was peach and leaf green. Another wedding reception is being planned to be held later this year.
