President Appoints New Board of FERMA

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of a new 13-man governing board of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA). The agency under the supervision of the Federal Minister of Power, Works and Housing, is solely concerned with road construction, improvement and connectivity between the states of the federation.

The Assistant Director (press) in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), Mohammed Nakorji, made the announcement yesterday in a statement.

 

A former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Deputy Governor in charge of Operations, Mr Babatunde Lemo, who retired from the apex bank in 2014, was named as the new chairman of the FERMA Governing Board.
Other members of the board are; Engr. Nurudeen Abdurrahaman Rafindadi, Buba Silas Abdullahi, Babagana Mohammad Aji, Engr Shehu Usman Abdullahi, Loretta Ngozichukwu Aniagolu, Mujaidu Stanley Dako, and Vincent Oladapo Kolawole.
The rest are EngrChukwunwike O. Uzo, Mrs Olubunmi Siyanbola, Alhaji Abdulrazak Ma’aji, Alhaji Saidu Abdulkadir, and ACM Peter Osawe.
Their appointment is subject to the confirmation of the Senate. He said the president also re-appointed Engr Peter o. Ewesor as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA).
