A 15-year-old housewife, Dausiya Abdulmumin of Unguwar Danmayaki village in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina has been arrested by the police over the killing of her husband, Saminu Usman, 27, and her 18-year-old elder brother Muhammad Abdulmumin.
Dausiya who is two weeks only into the marriage was said to have added rat poison in the food of the deceased persons. Muhammad was her elder brother living with them.

However, the deceased Saminu’s younger sister Shafaatu Usman, survived the incident after she was rushed to the hospital.
Daily Trust gathered from family sources that Dausiya was disgruntled when the deceased husband had an accident, lost his teeth and started limping.
Speaking on the incident, the Katsina State Police Command spokesman, DSP Gambo Isah, said the suspect has confessed to the crime.
