Last Thursday, the President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, and his wife, Toyin, attended the Ojude-Oba Festival in Ikeji-Ode, Ogun State.
Saraki arrived at the Golden Jubilee Centre, Ijebu-Ode, venue of the Ojude-Oba, as the special guest of honor for the event.
The Sarakis sat with the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona and his wife, Oloori Adekemi.
Toyin, the Founder-President of Wellbeing Foundation Africa, really stood out at the Event, and she reveled in the admiration and attention that were showered on her by the Adetonas. However, the Lagos born lawyer also gave a considerable amount of attention to the granddaughter of Awujale Adetona and Olori Adekemi.
Toyin Saraki is one of the internationally-recognised advocates of maternal, newborn and child health, gender-based discrimination and violence, improving education, socio-economic empowerment and community livelihoods in Africa. She is an advocate of Millennium Development Goals 4 and 5 in Nigeria, reducing the rate of maternal and infant mortality.
