Criticise Buhari for hanging on to power and not resigning the Presidency to look after his health .
Criticise him for being too thin, too gaunt looking with sunken eyes …
Criticise him for however much billions that was allocated to the Presidency in the budget and keeping however many Presidential jets despite selling us a frugal image
Criticise him for not giving Aisha the rod, because I doubt if even viagra can raise his rod.
Criticise him for being an absentee President.
Criticise him for ozone layer depletion.
By jove, criticise him for being Hausa Fulani….
But when you criticise him for wishing Nigerian Muslims a happy eid Mubarak or whatever the festival is in Hausa, his native language, and on BBC Hausa radio ….I’ll say that again BBC Hausa radio ..
Not on BBC mainstream or NTA even, but on BBC Hausa radio ……Just goes to show just how overrated education in Nigeria and among Nigerians really is and just how paranoid Nigerians have become .
Everything as usual, is viewed through tribal lenses .
Pray tell …….what language should he have chosen to use on BBC Hausa radio ? Swahili ? English ?
This usually is the type of news and furore I’ll simply have ignored because this level of stupidity is not worth engaging with ……it’s okay when such is expressed by the usual suspects.
But when you see people you have the utmost respect for, either out of sheer mischief, political correctness or popularity stake……join in on this ..
..you’ve got to ask who did this to us ….
Now when Osinbajo is being interviewed on a Yoruba speaking news medium, on Nigerian issues, or any government official for that matter , is being asked national issue questions in his or her native language ……they’ll be wise to respond in English so as not to offend the sensibilities of the Okoros , Adisas and Adamus amongst us.
Even though, anything they say can be easily translated ….He should actually tell them to ask him questions in English…. for the sake of Nigeria’s ‘unity’. …
The earlier this contraption is scattered along ethnic lines the better …..so that we can all speak our native language without hindrance. …
Mind you I want Federal Republic of Ijebu, because I can’t even bear breathing the same air with the Egbas never mind the Ijeshas..
Pius Adesanmi fall my hand today ….
Buhari is Hausa , he should be able to speak in Hausa language if he wants …
Obasanjo gave many interviews on national issues in Yoruba as Nigerian President to interviews held in Yoruba…..scratch that …make that thick Egba accent even . No one blinked on that ..
These lot make defending Buhari, even when you don’t want to, far too easy.
Whatever next….Buhari eating Tuwo shinkafa instead of it being mixed with egusi and Ogbono..
I give up.
