Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike yesterday suspended the Head of Service Rufus Godwin and Special Adviser to the Governor on Lands Anugbun Onuoha.
Four commissioners were also affected. They include Dr John Bazia (Chieftaincy Affairs), Mrs Tonye Briggs-Oniyide (Culture and Tourism), Fred Kpakol (Finance) and Mr Boma Iyaye (Sports).

No reason was given for their suspension but a statement signed by the governor’s Special Assistant on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu, said the suspension of the commissioners as well as that of the Head of Service is for three months.
